Cardenal Mendoza Gran Reserva de Lujo by Sanchez Romante, Jerez

CMendLujo

This brandy is positioned right below the bodegas flagship, the Non Plus Ultra. You can already tell it is a very nice brandy by looking at its beautifull dark color and the presentation (bottle and box) is the other give away! Right along the lines of the original Cardenal Mendoza it is smoother and lingers around your palate just like you wish a brandy to be. Even though it is difficult to achieve but this is yet another step better than the Carta Real. Excellent value, top nodge brandy and one of my personal favorites!

Lustau Reserva Familiar (1997) by Emilio Lustau, Jerez

A bodega that is very well known for its sherry. I was always intrigued by it and after I decided to drink reselec.com less but better it was time to get me a bottle of the Reserva Familiar. There are 5000 numbered bottles made and to cut to the chase: this is top league stuff as it can hold against the other big ones. Rock candy all over the place. Very, very nice. There should be a bottle in your bar at all time!
